The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has long adhered to the idea of combining production, learning and research, and has maintained significant advantages in the core field of agricultural engineering, and has formed its own distinctive research characteristics in the fields of renewable energy engineering, agricultural mechanization and equipment engineering, agricultural electrification and information engineering, agricultural logistics and system engineering. In the past five years, the school has undertaken 31 national projects such as the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, nearly 90 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, published more than 500 high-level papers, obtained more than 110 authorized invention patents, and published 12 academic works. It has played an active role in solving the socio-economic and three rural problems faced by the country and Henan Province, and a number of research results have been transformed and applied, resulting in significant social and economic benefits.
