Henan Provincial Landscape Architecture International Joint Laboratory

The laboratory is mainly supported by the doctoral authorization point of Landscape Architecture at Henan Agricultural University, the key discipline of the State Forestry Administration and the key discipline of Henan Province, and is dedicated to solving the dual challenges of resources and environment in the process of rapid urbanization. With the goal of regulating and sustainable development of urban and rural green infrastructure in the Central Plains Economic Zone, the laboratory takes protecting, cultivating, planning, designing, building, and managing urban and rural green resources as the approach, coordinates and harmonizes the healthy development of the five ecosystems of forest, wetland, watershed, farmland, and city, takes building a human settlement ecosystem with the integration of mountain, water, forest, farmland, and city as the core concept, and takes serving the people's increasing desire for a better life as the main goal. The laboratory explores the theories, methods, technologies, and means of protecting natural mountains and rivers, inheriting regional culture, and realizing public welfare.

Sino-Italy International Joint Lab of Smart Human Settlements (SI-JLSHS)

The Sino-Italy International Joint Lab of Smart Human Settlements is jointly established by the Henan Provincial International Joint Laboratory of Landscape Architecture (located at HAU) and the Italian Landscape Research and Service Center (located at UNIVPM). It focuses on cooperation in the fields of environment and sustainable energy, agriculture, sustainable urbanization, green infrastructure and mobility, cultural heritage and design.

Henan Provincial International Research Center for Agricultural Culture and Landscape Communication (HI-ACLC)

The Henan Provincial International Research Center for Agricultural Culture and Landscape Communication (HI-ACLC) is jointly established by the Office of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee and Henan Agricultural University. It fully leverages the unique strengths of Henan Agricultural University to create a high-level international exchange and communication platform with Henan characteristics and international standards, actively inheriting and promoting agricultural culture. The center has an interdisciplinary translation research team, including 16professors, 21 associate professors, 24 doctoral supervisors, 62 master's supervisors, 40 with doctoral degrees, and 30 with overseas backgrounds, covering languages such as English, Russian, Japanese, Italian, and Korean. The team's expertise spans translation studies, cross-cultural communication, landscape architecture, urban and rural planning, architecture, horticulture, ecology, etc. Many team members belong to the university-level innovation team Historical Heritage and Cultural Landscape. In recent years, their main research direction has been agricultural culture and heritage landscape, focusing on the origins and development of Chinese agricultural civilization, agricultural cultural heritage and landscape, and agricultural technology. Current projects include translation and research on The World's Intangible Cultural Heritage - The Twenty-Four Solar Terms Agricultural Calendar and a survey of agricultural cultural heritage and representative landscapes in Henan Province.

Innovation Introduction Base for Urban and Rural Green Resources Regulation and Landscape Ecological Design

The base mainly relies on the doctoral authorization point of Landscape Architecture at Henan Agricultural University, the Henan Provincial Landscape Architecture International Joint Laboratory, and the scientific research innovation team Urban and Rural Green Resources Regulation and Management. Henan Provincial High-Quality Flower and Vegetable Seedling Engineering Research Center

It was one of the first engineering research centers in Henan Province in 2007. The center currently has 19 scientific and technological personnel, including 4 professors and 6 associate professors. The center focuses on high-quality flowers such as peony, chrysanthemum, lotus, wintersweet, rose, Chinese flowering dogwood, magnolia, etc., as well as woody vegetables such as Chinese toon, Aralia elata Seet et Barn., Magnolia denudata Desr., Wintersweet Magnolia biondii Pamp., etc., to carry out research and development work on high-quality flower and vegetable seedlings. Currently, the center undertakes more than 20 research projects, has won 3 Henan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, applied for 4 related patents, transformed 2 scientific research achievements. Three seedling planting and processing bases have been established. More than 10 flower and vegetable seedling multiplication systems have been established and improved. Three standardized planting technologies and operating procedures have been developed. In the past three years of construction, the center plans to train doctoral and master's students for 10-15 people. It publishes 15-20 papers in domestic and foreign journals. It attends 3-5 national or international important academic conferences. It obtains 3-5 domestic or international cooperation projects. It completes 1-3 achievements transformation or transformation. It plans to train and guide relevant personnel for about 300 people. It allows enterprises to increase income by about 10 million yuan. Farmers can increase income by about 8 million yuan.

Industrial Design Center

It is a provincial-level scientific research platform awarded by the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. The center aims to integrate the school's advantageous resources, promote the empowerment of industrial design, leverage the platform of Henan Agricultural University Provincial Industrial Design Center, collaborate with our school's advantageous disciplines and teams, actively explore innovative design service methods, gradually connect with provincial enterprises to establish strategic alliances, and stimulate the power and vitality of design achievement transformation. Further strengthen the construction of design innovation capabilities, increase the training of talent teams, continuously expand and deepen exchanges and cooperation with universities, professional design institutions, etc., strive to become a benchmark for design innovation that drives industrial transformation and upgrading in our province, and promote the improvement of quality, efficiency, and transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in our province.
