Henan Agricultural University attaches great importance to the demonstration and promotion of agricultural scientific and technological achievements. Henan Agricultural University have signed cooperation agreements with the government of Shangqiu city, Jiaozu city, Wuyang county, Fangcheng county and other organization, and established Agriculture Comprehensive Experimental Station in difference ecological area in Henan Province. All of these stations provide a platform for scientific research and demonstration of achievements. From 2020 to 2023, more than 45 new wheat varieties, 56 new corn varieties, 5 new rice varieties and 8 new peanut varieties were transferred to seed companies, and the conversion cost was more than 50 million yuan. The demonstration and promotion of these new crop varieties have been carried out in 32 counties in Henan province, and the promotion area exceeded 70 million hectares. These varieties have created many high-yield models in different area. For example, the wheat grain yield for Yunong 923 was more than 12427.5 kg per hectare, the summer corn grain yield for MY73 was more than 17523 kg per hectare. All of these high-yield records of crop varieties have led the development of modern agriculture. Each year, more 500 agricultural scientists of College of Agronomy go to the countryside to guide the crop production, helping farmers improve their management abilities and providing technical support for the creation of high-yield records and the promotion of modern agricultural technologies.
