ZHENGZHOU - On the afternoon of 8th August, inauguration ceremony of the Urban-Rural Green Space Resources Control and Landscape Ecological Design" Disciplinary Innovation and Talents Introduction Centre of Henan Province is held at HAU. The Centre is inaugurated by Mr. XU Zongqin, Director General of Henan Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs and Prof. SHANG Fude, Vice President of HAU, witnessed by Prof. YANG Xitian, Vice President of HAU, Ms. WANG Huaxing, Director of the Office of Foreign Expert and Project Management of Henan Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs, Prof. Audrey Mayer, Principal Scientist of the Centre introduced from Michigan Technological University, U.S. and officers from the Graduate School, Office of International Office and College of Forestry of HAU as well as students and faculty members. Mr. LI Liuxin, Chancellor of HAU met with Mr. XU Zongqin before the ceremony.
In his speech, Prof. SHANG Fude briefly introduces HAU and the Centre, acknowledges the substantial support from Henan Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs and expresses HAU’s determination to promote further development of the Centre.
Prof. TIAN Guohang, Head of the Centre, gives a detailed report of the Centre’s operation. Prof. Audrey Mayer expresses gratitude for the strong support from HAU and Henan Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs and her expectations for future successful cooperation.
XU Zongqin highly evaluates HAU’s achievements in international research platform construction. He points out the importance of innovating new development concepts in foreign talent introduction, expresses willingness of continuing support from Henan Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs and expectations for more active role and greater contributions of HAU in Henan’s economic and social development.
Based on HAU’s International Joint Laboratory of Landscape Architecture of Henan Province and the doctoral programme in landscape architecture, the Urban-Rural Green Space Resources Control and Landscape Ecological Design Disciplinary Innovation and Talents Introduction Centre of Henan Province is a new international research platform of HAU. With a high-level, internationalised academic team, the Centre has made substantive achievements in academic exchange, research cooperation, talent training and technological service.
