ZHENGZHOU - From 3rd - 11th August, HAU receives an academic exchange visit by Prof. Audrey Lorraine Mayer, Principal Scientist of the Urban-Rural Green Space Resources Control and Landscape Ecological Design Disciplinary Innovation and Talents Introduction Centre introduced from Michigan Technological University, U.S.
During the visit, Prof. Mayer gives an academic report titled Using remote sensing imagery to detect harvests on family forests in Michigan. She and the Centre’s academic team hold several seminars and workshops about Zhengzhou’s forest ecological system, wetland ecological system, biodiversity conservation, etc. and make field investigations in the city and adjacent suburbs. She also gives lectures to HAU postgraduate students on theories, methods and approaches in rural-urban landscape architecture and environmental sustainable development as well as research topic selection, academic writing, experiment design and data acquisition, and discusses with HAU about future research cooperation and visiting study of HAU students and faculty members.
