Recently, Culture and Tourism Department of Henan Province announced the list of the fourth batch of intangible cultural heritage research bases in Henan Province, and Henan Agricultural University was on the list.
Based in central China, the College of Forestry of HAU has established a teaching model of intangible cultural heritage suitable for inheritance and innovation to meet the protection needs of intangible cultural heritage. Combined with forest health and rehabilitation, the College has built public exhibition space of intangible cultural heritage and set up static environments such as exhibition halls and display windows of intangible cultural heritage. The College of Forestry carries out research on the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage from the perspectives of forest recuperation, tourism products, local customs, farming culture and folk etiquette. The College takes food culture and forest health as its main research direction, and carries out related research work around eating customs, dishes and food, and food making skills.
