Recently, All-China Students’ Federation announced the list of " The Stars of Self-improvement of Chinese College Students in 2020", and two students of HAU, Wei Chengyu and Yuan Jialin, were on the list.
Wei Chengyu, majoring in Agronomy, is a student of class 4, grade 2019, from College of Agronomy . On July 23rd, continuous heavy rain led to a major flood in Muye district of Xinxiang city, and the flood situation was in an emergency. He saved 32 people of 6 families from the flood for 7 consecutive hours , and his brave deeds were reported by more than 30 mainstream medias such as People's Daily, Xinhuanet.com, iFeng.com, Henan TV station, Henan Daily and zynews.cn.
Yuan Jialin, majoring in computer science and technology, is a student of Class 1, Grade 2020, from College of Information and Management Science . He had a dream of being a soldier in the childhood. After receiving the admission notice of Henan Agricultural University, he resolutely decided to retain his school status and join the army. During the military service, he received many awards and accompanied his troops to Jiangxi province to fight floods and provide relief. After returning to college, he gained the Outstanding Student Cadre, won the silver prize of the Programming Contest, and the grand Prize of the Challenge Cup for Henan Colleg students and other awards.
