The First China Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, was held in Foshan City，Guangdong Province from December 18th to 20th. On behalf of the Henan Agricultural University, two teams, Peng Wanxi's team from college of Forestry and Zhang Angke's team from College of Veterinary Medicine, sparkled in the competition after hotly contested races, and won one gold medal and one silver respectively, showing our postdoctorals’ strengths and charm in the national competition.
The team led by Professor Peng Wanxi performed impressively in the group of energy conservation and environmental protection and received the gold medal with the project The Key Technology of Management of Formaldehyde from Artificial Panels. The team broke new ground in theory and broke the technological bottleneck in the field of controlling of the release of formaldehyde from artificial panels.
Zhang Angke and his team won the silver medal for their project The Application of Nano-antibody in the Detection of African Swine Fever. Their findings can solve key bottleneck problems confronting China's swine industry, and enjoy promising application in the future market.
