From July 25 to 26, the 8th Agricultural Model Development and Application (International) Symposium and the 2022 Annual Academic Conference of Agricultural Modeling and Simulation Professional Committee of China Simulation Society were held in Longzi Lake Campus of HAU.
The conference was held by "on-site participation + online interaction + live broadcast", including the opening ceremony, invited presentations, special presentations, youth forum and closing ceremony. The conference invited 20 renowned experts and young scholars, including Zhang Hongcheng and Zhao Chunjiang, academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dr. Brian King of Alliance Bioversity-CIAT and Wang Enli, Chief Scientist of CSIRO, Professor He Yong of Zhejiang University and Professor Li Daoliang of China Agricultural University, to discuss the frontiers of technological innovation and practical achievements in "agricultural modeling and smart agriculture". The conference was attended by 326 registrants from 153 research institutes, enterprises and institutions at home and abroad, and nearly 14,000 participants attended through Tencent online conference room and live streaming platform.
Academician Zhang Hongcheng, Academician Zhao Chunjiang, Dr. Brian King, Professor He Yong, Professor Feng Liping, Researcher Wang Enli, Professor Li Daoliang and Professor Ma Xinming gave invited presentations on the topics of frontier exploration of field crop cultivation, crop phenotype big data calculation methods, latest progress of CGIAR smart agriculture and digital transformation of agriculture, integration of air, sky and earth in the fusion of farmland information perception and smart management, agricultural model development and new generation of model development and regulation model progress, research and practice of unmanned fishing technology, and application and practice of wheat smart production technology.
A number of experts discussed in depth the research progress on digital agriculture, deep learning, multi-crop models, and agricultural disaster monitoring and early warning.
More than 30 young scholars from Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Agricultural University, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanjing University, Lanzhou University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, South China Agricultural University, Anhui Agricultural University and Northeast Normal University submitted their research papers and 8 representatives of PhD students reported the latest research progress respectively. Three first prizes and five second prizes for excellent young papers and presentations were selected at the conference.
