On the morning of April 24th, the inauguration ceremony for the President of Henan Agricultural University was held at the Longzihu Campus of Henan Agricultural University. Academician Zhou Wei was appointed as the President of Henan Agricultural University.
Zhou Wei, a soil and fertilizer scientist, currently serves as a researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Agricultural Regional Planning, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. His main research interests include soil cultivation and efficient fertilization, particularly the theory, methods, and technologies for efficient utilization of nutrient resources. He has served as the chief scientist for the 973 Program and the chief expert for public welfare industry research projects. He has published 112 papers as the first author or corresponding author, including 68 SCI papers, and authored 3 books. He has received 3 second-class National Science and Technology Progress Awards and 3 first-class provincial and ministerial awards as the first author, as well as 18 invention patents.
