On September 9, the signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Creating a World-Class Agricultural University with Chinese Characteristics to Assist in the Construction of a Strong Agricultural Province between the Henan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Henan Agricultural University was held at our university.
Li Chengwei pointed out that the signing of this agreement is not only the result of previous communications and negotiations but also marks a new beginning for subsequent concerted efforts. Both parties should adhere to the principles of open cooperation, complementary advantages, and joint building and sharing, focusing on sustainable development and deep engagement. The both sides should work to improve mechanisms for regular cooperation and communication, innovating more specific models and engaging in deeper cooperation in aspects such as project implementation, quality assurance, and effectiveness evaluation, jointly advancing the completion of the agreement's goals and manifesting the fruits of their collaboration on the land of Henan, presenting them to the people of Henan.
Sun Weifeng pointed out that the strategic cooperation aligns with the provincial government's strategic deployment of creating a world-class agricultural university with Chinese characteristics and building a strong agricultural province. The content of the agreement has been scientifically planned and repeatedly deliberated upon, combining macro-level planning with specific measures, laying a foundation for long-term cooperation and the realization of goals. Both sides need to further clarify responsibilities and task lists, focus on implementation, and advance at full speed. There should be both a plan for sustainable development and evaluations of phased task objectives, working hand in hand to become a model of department-university cooperation, achieving the strategic goals of a world-class agricultural university with Chinese characteristics and a strong agricultural province as soon as possible.
