On September 7, a meeting was held at the Longzi Lake campus of Henan Agricultural University to prepare for the opening ceremony and advance related work of the China Joint Graduate School of Modern Agriculture. Representatives from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Henan Agricultural University attended the meeting.
The leaders of each task group within the university’s joint graduate school working team reported on the progress of their previous work and outlined plans for the next steps. The head of the preparation office provided a detailed update on tasks related to the admission of new graduate students and the arrangements for the opening ceremony.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as student admissions, talent cultivation, platform construction, and academic department operations for the joint graduate school, reaching further consensus on these areas.
Li Chengwei, Secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Agricultural University, fully affirmed the work done by the teams. He emphasized that the working group, preparation office, and relevant colleges should carefully review the suggestions made during the meeting, clarify their approaches, optimize their plans, and quickly advance the initiative. The goal is to explore the development of a new type of research-oriented university and build a world-leading center for agricultural science, talent development, and innovation. This will actively promote the construction of the China Joint Graduate School of Modern Agriculture.
Before the meeting, Jiang Meilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and her delegation visited the student dormitories and classrooms, gaining a thorough understanding of the preparation and support work for student admissions.
