Regulation of maize growth and immunity by ZmSKI3‐mediated RNA decay and post‐transcriptional gene silencing

Oct 07, 2024

Recently, the research group of Professor Gou Mingyue from the College of Agriculture's Corn Biotechnology Team published a research paper titled Regulation of maize growth and immunity by ZmSKI3-mediated RNA decay and post-transcriptional gene silencing in the renowned journal Journal of Integrative Plant Biology. This study discovered that maize growth and disease resistance are finely regulated at three levels: transcription, mRNA decay, and post-transcriptional gene silencing (PTGS). It proposes a new strategy for balancing maize growth and immunity.
