On November 20, the school held a collaboration meeting with the State University of New York (SUNY) at Longzi Lake Campus. Vice President Yang Xitian welcomed SUNY's delegation.
Yang Xitian provided an overview of the university’s strategic priorities, including its focus on becoming a world-class agricultural institution with Chinese characteristics and advancing education, research, and talent development. He emphasized the potential for deeper collaboration with SUNY, building on prior successes, and expressed a commitment to fostering multidisciplinary and comprehensive partnerships.
The International Exchange and Cooperation Office outlined the university’s global engagement efforts, highlighting existing collaborations with over 100 international institutions in areas such as joint research, student exchanges, and academic partnerships. Opportunities for cooperation with SUNY were also proposed.
The two sides discussed plans for faculty and student exchanges, research collaboration, and short-term programs, reaching initial agreements. Both institutions expressed a shared commitment to strengthening ties, enhancing mutual understanding, and expanding Sino-U.S. educational initiatives.
