To comprehensively summarize the achievements of school operations during the 14th Five-Year Plan, carefully analyzed the current situation and tasks, and scientifically plan the development of the 15th Five-Year Plan. .From September 25 to 26, the 2025 Strategic Seminar was held on Henan Agricultural University's Longzi Lake Campus.The entire school leadership, representatives of academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, members of the school party committee and the school disciplinary committee, middle-level cadres, representatives of democratic parties, non-party individuals, and teachers, as well as some section-level cadres from administrative units, participated in the seminar.
The Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Yue Jieyong, delivered a speech titled 'Seriously Thinking About and Answering the Question: How Should Henan Agricultural University Develop?'conducting the first workshop mentoring report.The report, following the logical thread of 'What is the purpose of an agricultural university? What should the agricultural university research?What does an agricultural university do?', elaborated on a systematic reflection and strategic planning for the high-quality development of the university from five aspects: accurately grasping development direction, understanding development foundation, clarifying development ideas, optimizing development measures, and consolidating development support.
At the seminar, members of the school leadership team each gave specialized reports on their respective areas of responsibility, focusing on various aspects such as the creation of Double First-Class universities, integrated development, discipline construction, talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, cultural development, international exchange and cooperation, and conditions guarantee. They conducted in-depth analysis of the current development status, proposed development ideas and key tasks for the 15th Five-Year Plan, fully reflecting their sense of responsibility for the school's development and their confidence and determination to take action and foster entrepreneurship.
In the group discussion session, participants engaged in a lively discussion around the thematic report. Everyone agreed that the report had a high perspective, clear thinking, deep planning, and practical focus, providing clear guidance for the school's future development plan. Each group focused on key issues in development and put forward many constructive opinions and suggestions. During the exchange and speech session, the main leaders of several units spoke one by one, analyzing the situation, reviewing achievements, and identifying problems from different perspectives, and freely discussing ideas and measures for advancing the 15th Five-Year Plan with a focus on promoting high-quality development.
